Identifying the fallacies in each argument

Assignment Task: Identifying Fallacies

Give the name of any fallacy that occurs in each of the following arguments. If the argument contains no fallacy, say so.

1. I don't lie. I don't cheat. I help little old ladies cross the street. I give regularly to charity. Hence, I deserve an A on that paper.

2. I really deserve an A on that paper, Professor Jones. I've read all of the comments you wrote on it, and none of the things you said prove that it's not an A paper.

3. I really deserve an A on that paper, Professor Jones. My father's on the Board of Trustees, and they are going to be firing all of the incompetent teachers around here.

4. Either I deserve an A on that paper, Professor Jones, or I must have suffered a severe brain injury in the last few days. But I've had a CAT scan done since I turned it in and my brain is just fine

5. You should really have given me an A on my paper, Professor Jones. Professor Smith gave me an A. Professor Beck gives me all A's. In fact, all of my other professors in all of my other courses give me A's.

6. I really did deserve an A on my paper. Professor Jones got his PhD at Big State University and those degrees aren't worth the paper they're written on. None of the professors who graduated from Big State are any good.
