Problem
I. Identifying gifted and talented characters in literature.
Identify a character in literature who you think is gifted. Then answer the following questions. (NOTE: You must put in here the literary piece/story which will serve as basis) Should it be a movie, please provide a copy of the synopsis.
i. What made you think this character is gifted? Identify the gifted characteristics of this character.
ii. Describe the ways in which the character's giftedness manifests and how people around the gifted child respond to child's characteristics.
iii. In which profile of gifted individuals does this character fall?
iv. What factors in the story/movie were helpful and harmful to this character's giftedness? What were the consequences brought about by these factors to the character?
v. As a future teacher, how would you handle students with the same characteristics as this character?
II. Surf the net for people who did not let their disability stop them from reaching their goals then answer the following questions. Be creative and be thoughtful with your answers. (Put here the article or the story)
