Prior to completing work on this discussion, read Chapters 10 and 11 of Fundamentals of Law for Health Informatics and Information Management. For your assigned topic, indicate the following information in your initial post:
1) Identify whether or not patient authorization is required.
2) Identify any special circumstances to consider when releasing the medical information.
3) Identify any information that can be released to the requestor.
4) Identify and summarize one credible article within the past five years that addressed your assigned topic(s).
5) If your last name begins with A-C: Request for medical information from a journalist.
The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
