Identify when cells are diploid and when they become haploid

Problem

Using a diagram to show the meiosis of an animal cell 2n = 6

1) Identify each stage from Prophase 1 to the formation of the 4 daughter cells.

2) In the diagram should clearly show the difference between each tetrad homologous pair (bivalent) and also, it should be possible to differentiate tetrads from each other.

3) The diagram will include a (1) crossover of one of the tetrads, indicating where the crossover is occurring. It is important to be able to follow the result of this crossbreeding throughout meiosis.

4) You must explain that it is shown in each phase of the diagram

5) Identify when cells are diploid (2n) and when they become haploid (n)
