Select a special interest group from the HUD website.
Using your selected special interest group, write a two pages paper to answer the questions below. Use headings to indicate sections of your paper. Be sure to include supporting evidence for your main ideas.
i. Introduce the agency, its roles and functions.
ii. Identify how the agency attains its members.
iii. List any special affiliation services it provides to its membership.
iv. Classify what specific public policy category it attempts to advance and how it goes about having its interests applied in policy development.
v. Reference association conferences it has held, and identify what issues and solutions were addressed.
vi. List past organizational conferences it has held, and identify what issues and solutions were addressed.
vii. List any watchdog functions, such as monitoring the actions of congressional member voting records.
viii. What is the draw to become a member in the group you have selected? What political interest does the agency serve?
ix. Summarize the agency's success at influencing public policy.
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
i) The answer should be typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides.
ii) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
iii) Also include a reference page. The Citations and references must follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
