Select one of the social categories you listed and discuss how this social group has been marginalized or has experienced discrimination throughout history.
Describe the relationship between your ancestry and any racial, ethnic, or cultural groups you identify with--particularly if you identify with more than one.
Describe a time you, an ancestor, or someone else who belongs to one of your identity groups endured discrimination.
Include citations on the slides and a reference slide at the end for sources used to complete this assignment, such as the textbook or other classroom materials, or outside research. There should be at least 6 slides in the presentation.

You are only addressing 2 or 3 social categories that you identify with. DO NOT discuss all categories. You will then select 1 of those categories to discuss at more length in your presentation. Also, keep in mind that the syllabus lists some social categories that you can choose from for this assignment: race, ethnicity, cultural group, and gender. You can choose another social category if you don't want to use the examples provided. When working on this assignment, please know that you are not required to discuss anything in this assignment that would make you uncomfortable. You should only select to share information about your personal background that you are comfortable disclosing.
