1) What policies should the United States government pursue related to climate change to provide for the survival and future well-being of the American people? In your view, is it likely that the American people and global populations can and will have the determination to take action and make the sacrifices necessary (e.g., the Green New Deal) to manage climate change in time? Why or why not?
2) Identify three ways that American citizens can participate in the formulation of our democracy's national and international policies related to climate change. Give some consideration to the possibilities and limitations of each way of participating as an active citizen.
