Short Term Goals:

1. Reduce Frustration and start anger management exercises.

2. Join an AA group.

3. Consult with primary care doctor to see if medication is an option.

Long Term Goals

1. Establish a better pattern of sleep.

2. Increase in quality time with family.

3. Maintain sobriety for three months.

John describes struggling with substance abuse disorder and depressive disorder. his frequent and unseasonable outbursts are becoming disruptive and cause depression for which he relies on alcohol which only further exacerbates depressive symptoms. I would like to see John start attending AA meetings and begin with narrative therapy to guide his thoughts into more productive avenues.
