B. Choose one of the following Canadian communities.
Hamilton ON, Winnipeg, MB, Montreal, PQ, Fredericton, NB, Edmonton, AB
1. Identify the water source supplying this community (same information as above).
2. Identify the number of people who use this source for their water supply (approximate populations of all communities that use the source, volume extracted per year).
3.Identify whether the water extraction and discharge system for the community is an open or closed system, it its open, where does it go? How is the water extracted/retrieved (piped, pumped (personal), or hauled)?
4.Is the community promoting water conservation? Why or why not, do you think? Are issues of water quality a greater concern?
