Using the policy issue you chose, (same-sex marriage) identify the key arguments surrounding the policy issue in your state "Illinois" and the key stakeholders, both supporters and opponents, that must be considered in forming the policy position. Topics to consider in your paper include the following:
- Positions of major political parties in your state
- Public opinion polls on the issue
- Media views
- Nongovernmental actors (labor unions, religious groups, political action committees [PACs], business groups, etc.)
