During adolescence, teenagers experience several major changes in cognitive and emotional development. These changes are influenced by both biological factors, such as brain development, and environmental factors, such as the influence of peers and parents. Psychologist Diana Baumrind (1991, 1993) carried out a series of longitudinal studies on parentchild and parentadolescent interactions. She has identified a number of parenting styles that are associated with different kinds of adolescent development. Identify the parenting style of Kris Kardashian and explain how her parenting style affected the development of self-esteem in her children in childhood, adolescence and adulthood.
