• Identify the methods African Americans in North America used to challenge slavery during the Revolutionary era. In addition to escape and daily acts of resistance, include in your analysis other factors, such as the legislation, the courts, and military service.
• Compare African American contributions to the patriot cause in the American Revolution to the aid rendered to the British. How did the patriots and British treat the African Americans who aided them?
