Homework: State and Political Processes
Select a local government within your state to analyze. You may select either an urban, suburban, or rural government to review.
Prepare a 10 to 12 slide PPT addressing the following:
o Describe which area you chose: urban, suburban, or rural. Briefly describe the area's demographics and characteristics.
o Describe the local form of government and identify the major elected officials of your selected area.
o Identify the major public policy issues, current events, and challenges this government faces and analyze one in depth.
o Discuss how the state government is addressing the issue you selected.
o Provide at least two potential, realistic solutions to the public policy issues, current events, and challenges this government faces.
Format your homework according to the following formatting requirements:
o The answer should be typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides.
o The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
o Also include a reference page. The Citations and references must follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
