Opinion writing consists of identifying the important point, and in an opinion piece the writer states his/her opinion and supports it with facts, evidence and examples but he doesn't try to convince the reader.
How to Write an Opinion Piece
Directions
• Read the assigned text or material.
• Identify the main points of the author and develop your thinking/opinion in a conversation/argument format on one page.
• You can use any format you are comfortable with bullet points, storytelling or speech.
• Discuss the main points to demonstrate your opinion in your own words.
The response must include a reference list. Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
