Research (Accenture, 2010; McKinsey, 2010) has shown a positive link between Gender diversity and company performance. Yet the Oil and Gas sector remains a Traditionally male dominated one

Analysis by the Royal Academy of Engineering shows that "women made up 51% of The UK population, but only eight percent of engineering professionals..... a survey Conducted by the Centre for International Labour Market Studies states, female Workers make up just four percent of the total oil and gas workforce in the UK."
