Identify the functional organization for business function

In this course we explored some typical operations management decisions. We also discussed how operations management desicions are linked to other business functions. Imagine you have just started a job with a company. You are working in an organization other than operations, such as finance or marketing, and your boss arranges a meeting for you with the Vice President of Operations to learn more about the operations function of the company. You have a limited amount of time with the person so you want to be sure you ask the right questions -- those that will get you the information you will need to do your job well. Identify the functional organization you are working in, list at least three quetions you would ask, and for each question briefly explain why the question is pertinent to your business function.
Note: This is about finding information for your business function; not about try to tell the Vice Presient of Operations how to do his/ her job.
