Three days later, Chantelle telephones Adam and offers £4000 for the car. Adam refuses to sell for this price. One week later Chantelle changes her mind and writes to Adam agreeing to purchase the car for £5000. Adam has now found another buyer for the car and refuses to sell to Chantelle. Discuss the relevant rules on the formation of a contract and advise Adam on whether or not there is a valid contract between himself and Chantelle. (Marked out of 100)
