AIP Funding of Airports - The AIP provides federal funding for eligible planning, acquisition, and construction projects to NPIAS airports based on the availability of funds.
In this discussion, identify the differences between AIP funds and the public funding of other transportation modes (such as bus and rail). Then discuss whether you believe there are enough funds available to cover the cost of infrastructure through the AIP grants, if not identify other potential alternatives which airports have not yet tapped into, return.
