Problem: Deviance Paper
We are going to use a form of media to focus on deviance and how it affects society. You will explore how deviance is defined in our society by culture and group dynamics.
Take a minute and think about some of the media outlets that you watchas it relates to Deviance and deviant behavior, whether negative or positive deviance. Then proceed to watch a 30-60 minute sitcom, an hour drama, movie, or a documentary and answer the following questions. (Examples: CSI, Law and Order, Family Guy, Modern Family, YOU, Witcher, Gracie and Frankie, Chicago Fire, How to get away with murder, Watchman, etc:).
1) Describe in a short summary the name of your show and the premise of the show (what is it about)
2) Identify the deviance or deviant behaviorthat you observed. Give examples with details and explain why this is consider deviant behavior?
3) What theoretical perspective would you apply to the deviant behavior and why?
The response must include a reference list. One-inch margins, double-space, Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font and APA style of writing and citations.
