An external safety audit identified several safety measures that the organisation must immediately comply with. This impacts on the whole organisation. Each manager is asked to look at their budget and see where it can be modified. Your budget includes costs for staffing, equipment maintenance, new personal protection equipment (goggles and gloves etc) new computers and training and promotional activities.
1. Explain what you would discuss with the manager.
2. Explain how you will communicate and discuss with your team.
3. List some contingencies you consider, to enable the safety measures to be implement.
4. What skills, and why, do you need to manage this part of budgeting successfully?
