Identify and reflect on your own social and cultural perspectives, values and biases in relation to practice when working families and children in the 3 - 6-year-old room, after implementing the experiences you had planned for PB3|AT03 - Planning informed learning experiences for pre-schoolers. A. Identify potential impact of your own life experiences and culture on interactions and relationships with people from different backgrounds.
B. Give examples of how your own experiences and culture influenced interactions and your behaviors during collaboration with other educators and families in regard to:
a. Inclusion
b. Biases that showed up in interactions or expectations
c. Tendency to discriminate against certain groups/people/behaviours
d. Ethical behaviour and expectations and how it may have been challenged because of own life experiences
C. Describe how working with socially and culturally diverse people impacted you and your communication with others. Consider what you enjoyed, what you discovered and what you found challenging.
