Multiskilling is easier said than done. Three reasons that one is reluctant to learn the skill is difficulty to acquire the skill (Skill), safety concerns of Self, money, machine, material, reputation (Safety) and the stress and strain that accompanies a job (Stress). There are many ways to address these three concerns. One of the most effective ways is to address the same through brainstorming using Standard Operating Procedure or Flow chart of a specific activity.

D. Classify the activities as Vital and Others based on the criticality in terms of Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, Morale, and Flexibility

E. Choose one Vital activity

F. Visual SoP with pictures, descriptions

G. For each step identify the Safety, Skill and Strain Concerns (You need to briefly describe the concern)

H. Identify three concerns and explore the possible solutions and briefly describe the same

The function that we are referring here is for Logistics. Functions cover Collaborating with customs, and other external inspection authorities on documentation, goods clearance, and other routine matters. Analysing and reviewing freight cost and transportation rates; Pivotal role in verifying of customs documents and coordination with the Chamber of Commerce as and when required. Significant role in establishing smooth transition from GOLD ERP to SAP, hence ensuring all High Value shipment are moved to their respective location as per schedule. Involved in Quotations, bookings, documentation, shipments tracking and tracing, custom clearance, and billing as part of the process.
