Identify one concern typically associated with hard measures

Problem

I. Effectively measuring performance typically requires combining both "hard" (objective) and "soft" (subjective) performance measures. Address the following:

II. Identify one concern typically associated with hard measures and one concern typically associated with soft measures.

III. Identify a specific job you are familiar with (e.g., cashier at grocery store) and explain how you would use both soft metrics and hard metrics to measure performance. Include the following (but don't use the same examples as mine below):

i. The name of the job (example: cashier at grocery store)

ii. Name the performance constructs you are operationalizing (examples: good interactions with customers, customer processing efficiency)

iii. Explain how you would operationalize each performance construct. For instance, customer processing efficiency could be operationalized as items per minute. Good interactions with customers could be operationalized as ratings on a BARS scale (with anchored ratings included). If you propose a rating scales, please be sure to fully elaborate on the rating scale by providing the details of your proposed behaviorally anchored rating scale (as discussed in class - see examples in slides).
