Identify one character from a work of fiction that you find

One of the ways in which writers connect best to their readers is through the use of characterization. Readers relate to characters - even if the character is from a different time and place - based on similar feelings or experiences.

Identify one character from a work of fiction that you find yourself relating to, and one that you don't find yourself connecting to very well. What makes one character relatable and another not? Explain your answers.

Please remember that the emphasis here is on the written experience. Do not use characters drawn from movies. Please choose one of the stories assigned for the week and discuss one or more of the characters from the text.

Please make your initial post by midweek, and respond to at least one other student's post by the end of the week.
