Domestic Violence Policy Paper
Identify legislation/policy affecting victims and survivors of violence. (For example, the Violence Against Women Act, the Family Violence Prevention and Services Act, the Victims of Crime Act, etc.)
Address the following issues:
1. Find and identify the legislation.
2. Give the historical background for context.
3. Description of current legislation
4. Why it is important currently?
5. Recommendations going forward (Note, sometimes current legislation staying the same may be the most viable recommendation.)
Make sure to analyze the policy/legislation. Find the legislation/policy, give the context, pull out the themes, discuss results, and support your recommendation informed by the prior evidence.
This paper should be at least 6 pages in length (the 6 page minimum does not include your reference page or your title page), maximum 12point, Times New Roman font, 1-inch margins, double spaced include your name, and utilize proper APA citation format.
