Assignment task: We need to identify one current event related to our study of Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility. We may use broadcast, electronic, or print media outlets for news clips, articles, or videos.
We need to write an analysis of the current event by engaging with three of the following elements:
Relevant - explain how the news or current event is relevant to one of our course learning objectives.
Topical - explain how the news or current event links to a topic or assigned reading in MOG 1004.
Current - select a recent news event. We will go as far back as six months from Nov 1, 2022.
Critical - question or challenge how the news or current event is framed in the media or question the business decisions and their effects based on the news report.
Provoking - present a different or alternative point of view than what's shown in the news report.
Practical - present a solution to address the issue(s).
Local - locate the issue within a Canadian or regional context.
