Assignment task:
So the current change that I chose was the local hospital being changed from Swedish American Hospital to UW Swedish American hospital. The hospital was able to keep all of their employees during the change and their location but there named changed and all of their outside health care facilities have changed as well. The merge of the hospitals has started in April of 2021, this change gives patients more access to other things like healthcare trials and top medical experts from a top academic medical center as well (Clark, 2023). According to, (Greendonner, 2021), the employees won't change and the physician's and appointments won't change it just gives the patients more access to more care and places to go. UW is a big hospital in Wisconsin which is closer to Rockford then Chicago so it gives patients more options to care and treatment. This has taken about 6 years to completely change the names of the facilities and have all of the facilities on board and they did each change in phases so that it wouldn't be dramatic to the patients or the staff (Greendonner, 2021). These articles and my research doesn't really tell me how much it cost to make these changes so if anyone can find the answer for me and share where they got it I would love to know. But I have personally been to UW in Wisconsin with my daughter and all of her appointments were out there at first so the fact that they moved closer was extremely helpful for all of us. This change has made a new medical facility here in Rockford that can treat more people and give more care that wasn't able to happen at first. My daughter had cut three tendons on the bottom of her foot and the hospitals in Rockford didn't have trauma doctors to help her with it so they sent us to UW in Madison Wisconsin and they were able to treat her and perform surgery on her as well and the only problem for us the traveling back and forth we did it but it was really far away. Now that they are closer we are able to see doctors right down the street from our house.

FYI, this is the question of this answer: Identify a current change that occurred in a large health care organization (news article, journal, etc.). Based on the information available, how would you describe the return on investment of the change for that organization? Discuss both the aspects of cost and time.
