Problem
1. Choose an environmental problem you are interested in (like fossil fuel consumption, habitat loss, air pollution, etc.) and identify an IMPACT we can explain using the IPAT equation.
2. Describe what the different parts of the IPAT are for your problem of interest and the specific impact: IMPACT = POPULATION * AFFLUENCE * TECHNOLOGY
3. Identify clearly what the UNITS of each measure are.
4. For each of P, A, and T, explain what a change would mean (i.e., what might the real-world meaning of a change in technology be for your particular problem).
