Identify and describe stakeholders for your case study -

Case Study Assignment -

There should be only one submission per group in the moodle site (i.e., only one student should submit the assignment on behalf of the group). However, every student should keep a copy of the assignment for future reference.

This is the first of three components for your case study. You should now complete Part 1 of your analysis in your group.

There are 7 components required for this assignment. The topics here have been or will be referenced in lectures, additional readings and tutorial exercises.

This assignment should not exceed 16 pages including diagrams (excluding reference list).

1. Write a project purpose for your case study.

It is essential to include purpose of the system. Note that the system purpose should focus on issues, such asthe need for proposed system, business case, business discussion in general, and should avoid too much technical discussion.

In a separate section, it is essential to list functional requirements (functions) of the proposed system. You can also list the requirements which will be outside the scope of proposed system.

2. Identify and describe Stakeholders for your case study.

This needs to be more than a simple list. There is much literature that describes how you might identify, classify and describe stakeholders, their influence and how they are impacted by the new system. You are urged to explore this and form your analysis based on your investigations. The lecture notes and textbook are good starting points, but should do further research.

3. Develop a rich picture or equivalent diagram for your case study.
You have been shown what a rich picture looks like and what it contains. There are many variations. Consider the key elements in a rich picture. Consider why you are creating this artifact and for whom. I expect that you will have already researched these matters and reflecting the results of your research in the assignment. Don't forget to cite and reference your research.

4. Develop a comprehensive table of events, type of event, sources of events, conditions (if applicable), activities, responses and destinations of responses for your case study.

This too will be illustrated in the lecture and should reflect your investigation in the tutorials.

5. Draw a Gantt chart and Pert chart
You should draw the charts to list tasks involved in analysing and designing the proposed system, resources needed, who will do what in your team etc.

6. All assumptions must be documented.

7. List of references (Harvard style).

This assignment will look for evidence of research and reasoning. All references researched will need to be included using consistent referencing style.
