Project Assignment: Healthcare IT System Security Policies
Objective
The objective of this group project is to assess your ability to identify, design, and organize information technology (IT) security policies for a healthcare IT system project. You will demonstrate your understanding of the unique requirements, regulations, and challenges associated with securing sensitive healthcare information and complying with healthcare industry standards and regulations.Deliverables:
I. Proposal:
i. Each group will submit a proposal outlining the approach and plan for developing the IT security policies for the healthcare IT system project.
ii. The proposal should include an overview of the project scope, objectives, timeline, and the roles and responsibilities of each group member.
II. Presentation:
3 to 4 slides presenting your Proposal
Security Policy Framework:
i. Develop a comprehensive security policy framework for the healthcare IT system project.
ii. Identify and define the key IT security policy domains relevant to healthcare, such as access control, data privacy, incident response, and encryption.
iii. Design a set of IT security policies for each identified domain, considering the unique requirements and regulations of the healthcare industry.
iv. Organize the policies in a logical and coherent manner, ensuring consistency in terminology and structure throughout the framework.
