This assignment will assess the following learning outcomes:

1) Identify and critically evaluate the major environmental influences affecting global and international markets to justify recommended strategies;

2) Apply appropriate analytical models and frameworks to analyse, assess and critically appraise global and international marketing situation.

The Task

Select a product that is being produced in a developed country. Choose a developing country that you feel may have a need for the product selected. Exercise care in selecting the product and market place. Prepare the assignment paper by describing the product's potential in the selected market. Use the following outline as a guide for your analysis.

1. Introduction
Provide a brief description of the countries that you have selected. Describe the current economic conditions of the country or countries involved. Describe the general nature, description, uses, benefits, cost, typical consumer and other characteristics of the product selected. Include current stage in product life cycle, and technological considerations. Discuss whether the selected market will apply standardisation or adaptation.

2. Discussion
Consider both domestic producers and producers in other countries in your discussion. Describe the types of middlemen involved and how the product will get from producer to end user. Describe the ultimate consumers of the product. Determine the level of competition to be encountered for your selected product in the developing country. Analyse the current legal and economic factors relevant to your product. Consider any barriers to trade and discuss how they are addressed. Examine the cultural differences between the nations involved. Describe what marketing strategy adjustments and product adaptations should be made. Evaluate the degree of risk that a developed country would be exposed to when they will export the selected product. Describe the specific sources of risk involved and suggest possible ways to minimise these risks.

3. Conclusion. It must be in a paragraph form. This part should state what the researcher found after the analysis was completed. This is the end point of the discussion. This will disclose the "sorted-revealed fact".

4. References must be according to Harvard Referencing Style.

The Task
Choose a company In the GCC to address Issues on their Corporate Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility to answer the following tasks:

1. With the onset of globalisation, critically evaluate your chosen company's sustainability to equate an equal balance of the Triple Bottom Line (TBL) of sustainability (i.e. economic, social and environmental perspectives) in relation to. company stakeholders like its shareholders, employees, consumers, suppliers, government and the general public. Give relevant examples to substantiate the discussion. (L01, LO2 and 103)

2. Critically assess the company's Corporate Social Responsibilities in the light of Friedman's model of CSR. The three-part views of CSR according to Friedman include "That only the real human beings have moral responsibility for their actions"; "That it is the manager's responsibility to act solely in the interest of shareholders" and "That social issues and problems are the proper responsibility of the state rather than the corporate managers". You are required to give examples or scenarios in the company to substantiate the discussion. (101, L03)
