Problem
Context: As a member of the curriculum committee, you have been tasked with conducting an internet review of core standards of other nursing education programs in order to provide the committee with information necessary to make an informed decision regarding currency or relevance of your School of Nursing core standards (mission, values, philosophy). After reviewing the information found on the internet you have decided to make recommendations to update the core standards in your program.
Instructions: The student will identify an imaginary School of Nursing. Give the school a name and develop a mission statement, vision statement, and philosophy for the identified school. Review available online materials from other schools of nursing for examples and to provide guidance as you develop a core set of belief that would be foundational to curriculum development.
