Identify an accounting fraud that was reported in the news within the last 20 years. Prepare a report on the fraud.
1. Make sure your report is properly formatted with a title page, executive summary, section headers, bibliography etc.
2. Amongst other things, include the following:
- background information on the organisation,
- the key actors involved, what led to the fraud,
- what aspect of accounts was involved or manipulated/misrepresented,
- which of the financial statements and which item was the fraud intended to alter,
- how the fraud was discovered
- the consequences for the organisation and the actors involved.
3. Your report from cover page to Bibliography should be 3 - 5 pages
