Consider information you gathered from your observation, information you may have gathered from parents/family, as well as the plan you created.

You are now going to implement at least 2 of the strategies you planned to support this child's social and emotional development as well as success in the classroom. Remember that during your visit, you may not see actual evidence of the previously viewed behavior incidents you planned to guide; however, your strategies to promote this child's success can still be implemented during typical play and routine activities of such transitions.

Document the positive behaviors you supported through implementation as well as any results. You may choose to outline this plan in a format comfortable to you (e.g., written, chart with descriptions). Remember that you goal is to support this child and his or her family's success. This means you will document, as if planning to inform and communicate with family, as well as educational/behavioral support staff. Complete an authentic observation of at least an hour.

After completing the observation and implementation, create a Comprehensive Behavior Plan Reporting Document of at least 3 pages including the following: In the first section, briefly introduce your subject (age, gender, etc.). Use initials or an assumed name to comply with NAEYC's Code of Ethical Conduct on confidentiality.

Share the early childhood setting as well as pertinent information regarding the child's family and living arrangement (social and cultural context). Briefly describe you authentic observation, include location, date, and time. Share the child's interest areas. In the next section, identify any mistaken behaviors you observed, as well as any triggers (causes) that you observed.

In the following sections, identify all guidance, intervention, and/or conflict management strategies you implemented directly related to each specific mistaken behavior you have identified.

Share the plan's effectiveness specific to each guidance, intervention, and/or conflict management strategy implemented in relation to the corresponding mistaken behavior.
