Literature Searching Tips:
- Identify a topic of interest to you.
- Write down some key search terms - you can organize your search terms using the PICO pneumonic.
- Explore using your PICO terms as MeSH terms in PubMed; in Web of Science you can use MeSH terms if you select Medline as the database to search in.
- Use the delimiters in the left pane of PubMed to narrow your search
o Perhaps consider not older than 5 years - newer studies are often easier to read because of the efforts to improve research reporting by CONSORT and other editorial and research groups
o Human trials only, please
o Delimit by publication type to find the desired clinical study design
