Discussion Post: Investments
Explore the FASB Codification sections related to investments (§320, 323, and 325). Identify a level of investment in equity securities (under 20%, 20%-50%, over 50% of outstanding stock) and explain how investments of that size should be treated. Justify why this methodology is appropriate. Participate in follow-up discussion by challenging or defending the methods as explained by your classmates. Include proper citations in your discussion post. Points will be deducted if proper citations are not used. Your initial post should be 250-500 words, and should demonstrate solid academic writing skills.
