Identify a current intercultural conflict in the media. It can be conflict between nations, ethnic groups, or gender. Read at least 3 sources that give background and/or information about the conflict. Conduct an analysis of the conflict, answering the following questions:
1. What is the conflict? (give an overview of the situation)
2. What do you think are the sources of the conflict?
3. Are there value differences between the groups?
4. Are there power differences between the groups?
5. What role do you think various contexts (historical, social, political, etc.) play in the conflict?
6. What part does communication play in this conflict (both abroad and in the culture)?
7. How does being more aware of cultural conflict help you interact with people from other cultures? Is this an important thing to understand?
