I dont think a college education is a good investment

Assignemnt

• I don't think a college education is a good investment because more important thing is how fast you can adopt to a job and working experiences, and a college education does not guarantee you to get a good career, but it is a good investment depending on what field you are going to. For example, if you want to be a lawyer or a doctor, you have to learn so many things.

1) Opportunity cost of typical college education is you cannot work full time if you are a full time student. My opportunity cost is also I cannot work because I am a full time student, and also I had to leave Japan to come to the school I wanted to go to.

2) It also depends on what you are doing, but people who don't go to college do not need to pay for school, so they are able to save most of money they make early on, which they can invest later on if they choose to. College graduates in some cases are able to get high paying professions, but even then it often takes many years to pay for the degree they got.

3) In my opinion, dropping out of college is a bad decision because whatever you paid for tuition fee you will never get back, and basically you have wasted time you could have used for work.

4) I think the higher education will be very necessary in that situation because unskilled labor will be taken over by robots, so skilled labor that relies on creativity will be more valued in certain jobs such as film making, architecture, concept art, design, and medicinal science.
