Hypothetical argument against kacey cheerleading

Problem:

It is a story about Kacey Lynes, a cheerleader at Northern High School in Pennsylvania. Kacey was a cheerleader for her entire life, but she suddenly lost her ability to walk. Nevertheless, Kacey did not give up cheerleading with the support of her family, teachers, and friends.

This story is real (and legit). From now on, it is not a real one but you can see a hypothetical argument against Kacey's cheerleading from a parent of another cheerleader:

"I do not like Kacey's participation. Kacey has been given an honor she does not deserve, in a way that mocks the pride I might have in my daughter's cheerleading skills. If great cheerleading is something that can be done from a wheelchair, then what becomes the honor given to those who excel at tumbles and splits?"

Do you agree or disagree with this voice? Why? Which ethical perspective (among the four we have learned) would support your argument? Furthermore, would your conclusion be changed when Kacey's situation occurs in a private cheerleading company rather than in a public high school?
