Hypothesis test for two population mean

You're interested in average number of months MSU graduates spend looking for jobs regarding graduation as compared to RU students.  You take the random sample of MSU students and random sample of students from RU.  The sample mean for MSU is 5.7 months and sample standard deviation is 2.1 months (N=100). The sample mean for RU is 2.5 months and sample standard deviation is the 1.1 months (N=100). Employ all of your hypothesis steps to test whether MSU students significantly distinct from RU students in average number of months they spend looking for job after graduation.

1.  Give the critical test statistic and compute sample test statistic. Test the null hypothesis at alpha level .01.

2.  Using evidence, what is your decision regarding the null hypothesis? What does this tell us about how MSU graduates compare to the RU graduates? Do MSU graduates significantly distinct from RU graduates in number of months spent looking for job after graduation?
