hyperglycaemic-in the fasting state glucose

Hyperglycaemic:-

In the fasting state, glucose release from the liver increases due to the action of glucagon and in the muscle by epinephrine. Glucagon  also  enhances gluconeogenesis from  amino acids and lactate. Both hepatic glycogenolysis  and glyconeogenesis contribute  to the hyperglycaemic effect of glucagon. Through these mechanisms, the blood glucose  level is maintained in the fasting state.
