How your colleague chosen social behavior problem

Problem: Respond to at least one colleague's initial post by explaining how your colleague's chosen social behavior problem could be changed by applying a different learning principle you learned in this course (i.e., classical conditioning, operant conditioning, observational learning).A social behavior problem I would like to change in my community is unhealthy eating habits, especially the high use of fast food and sugary drinks given to our youths. Many people choose quick, cheap meals that are not good for their overall health. This is important to me because it can lead to serious problems such like obesity, diabetes, and heart disease. I want my community (youths, teens and adults) to live longer, healthier lives. Unhealthy eating habits could be improved by using operant conditioning. Operant conditioning focuses on rewards and consequences to change behavior. For example, local schools or community centers could reward people for making healthier food choices. This could include giving points, small prizes when people choose fruits, vegetables, or water instead of juice, sodas, or snacks. The rewards will play an important role to encourage people to engage in healthy behaviors. However, a solution to control unhealthy choices could be made by increasing their cost or limiting availability in schools, retirement homes, and snack machine in the workplace.
