You have learned how to transport, and transfer patients. However, there are many special circumstances you must consider, especially with inpatients. Chapter 10 starting on page 319, talks about evaluating your patients' mobility. One situation they discuss is transporting a patient with an IV.
Choose a special circumstance that might be encountered when transporting/transferring a patient. You may choose one from the book or another source, maybe even from experience. Explain how you would safely transport this patient to the sonography lab.
