Problem
Observe an open group such as an AA, NA, Alanon group; a school group; or another group that is process based.
Post a description of the group you observed (include the setting, estimated age of the members, and topic or purpose of the group). Include what you have learned about group development in theory in application to what you observed in the real-life group session you attended. Share the specific elements that help identify the stage a group is in (i.e. trust in the group, level of processing, the leader's role, etc.)
Then, share your observations, inner thoughts, and emotions about your real-life group observation (your reflections, inner awareness of how you were moved by the group or members, their interactions, etc.) Additionally, describe how you would advocate for and infuse positive social change into group work as a school counselor.
