How you take into consideration the interests of your voters

Problem

After reviewing one of your Texas State Senator's positions on several important issues, how do his or her positions compare to your own? On which issues does your member match your viewpoints, and on which issues does he or she differ? Is he or she more liberal than you or generally more conservative? Do you think that your Senator reflects the ideological composition of your state in general or a specific segment of your state's population?

If you were serving as Senator for your state, how would you take into consideration the interests of your voters? Would you do exactly what your constituents asked you to (instructed delegate), or would you prefer to act in their interest while using your judgment (trustee)? Explain why you would assume this role.
