Homework: Case Conceptualization Project
Each group will decide on a selected theoretical approach to your client's case and createONE voice narrated Power Point presentation. The presentation will discuss therapeuticstrategies as well as demonstrate an intervention or assessment that implements thepractice of a theory.
Slides should cover the following:
o Brief description of the theory selected
o The theory's major tenets and effectiveness
o A brief literature review supporting the selected theory particularly and theimportance andrelationship to the assessment. (Students are required to report onat least 3 current periodicals to support material.)
o Relevant information that discusses your chosen theory and the practice of suchtheory.
o How you are employing (or plan to employ) the approach's key interventionstrategies to the client's presenting problem.
o According to the approach, how the main stages of therapy (i.e., beginning/assessment, middle and end/termination) are unfolding (have unfolded or willunfold) in this client's case
o What is the nature of your therapeutic relationship with this client in the contextof this approach
o A demonstration of an intervention or assessment that implements the practice ofsuch theory. For example, a group that chose Behavioral Theory, a possibletreatment selection could be assertiveness training.
Format your homework according to the following formatting requirements:
o The answer should be typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides.
o The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
o Also include a reference page. The Citations and references must follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
