This project will entail reading Hall & Moore's Same Kind of Different as Me, which examines the plight of homelessness and racial disparity. Students will write a three-page reflection paper on the following:
a) Discuss the meaning of the book's title and provide examples from the text to support your response.
b) How had Denver been marginalized in his life, and what affect did it have on him?
c) How would you describe Denver's and Ron's worldviews? How did Ron's worldview change after serving in the shelter and after getting to know Denver?
d) How did this book affect your view of people who are homeless? What have you learned from this book about serving/advocating for this population?
The response should include a reference list. One-inch margins, Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space and APA style of writing and citations.
