Assume that the trend in sales between 1980 and 2002 demonstrated by the pie graphs continues for another 22 years to 2024. How would the U.S. economy be affected? Would U.S. consumers benefit or be harmed? What would happen to businesses and people employed in the U.S. auto industry?
