A single-family housing ordinance in Edenville limits occupancy to people who comprise a "family" - defined as three or more people who are related by blood or marriage. Adam, Eve, Sarah, and Hannah are a polygamous family who wish to live in the single-family zone. Adam has married each woman in a fundamentalist religious ceremony, but he is lawfully married only to Eve. The group has been informed that they cannot live in the single-family zone.
