Paper Problem
For each prompt, please provide some information from related readings. You can also use class material and also outside source(s). All sources used need to be cited properly. I do not necessarily prefer one citation style over the other as long as you are consistent. The rest of the space (for each prompt) should be used for your own: reflections, thoughts, reactions, even relevant anecdotes (if used sparingly). I will gladly read your drafts for feedback before you hand them out.
Type your papers, no extra title page is required, stay in the 3 page (1.5 page for each prompt) limit as much as you can.
Use the article by Johnson I am attaching here to refresh your understanding of this model.
• In studying intimate partner violence, how useful is Johnson's model? Using real or imaginary cases, make pro and con arguments for using his model.
• Many theoretical models and studies have focused on the question "why women don't leave their abusers?" Is this also a valid concern when it comes to studying abused men in heterosexual relationships? Would these models be sufficient in our understanding of the dynamics of the abusive relationships between non-heterosexual partners?
